music & artsAt Mt. Harmony, we see music as a means to an end. Our goal is always to glorify God and grow in the experience. Music can drum up meaningless emotion or meaningful expressions of praise to our great God. Thankfully, music comes in many shapes, colors, and sizes. We recognize that all styles of music can be used to glorify God, because the notes and rhythms are just vehicles for carrying the message of God's love for us and our love for Him. That's why we have two Sunday morning worship services, with two different "feels"; our "classic" service has a traditional feel with lots of your favorite hymns and gospel songs, led by our "In Harmony" Ensemble, and our "blended" service includes songs from yesterday and today, led by our "Joyful Harmony" Choir and "Wings Of Harmony" Worship Team. Come try both and see which one speaks to your heart. God wants to speak to us as we "enter His courts with praise," and we want to listen and respond in obedience.  What an awesome privilege and responsiblity to worship the One who is worthy. After all, it's not about us, it's all about Jesus!

Rev. Mitch Duncan is our Minister of Music. He and his wife Carol became part of the Mt. Harmony family in March of 2007. You can email Mitch at mduncan@mtharmony.net

Adult Choir Notes

Our Joyful Harmony adult choir leads in worship each Sunday with songs of praise and worship focusing on our great God!  It is our privilege to EMBRACE the Creator in music and express our love for Him through singing.

Music is a vital part of our corporate worship experiences.  YOU ARE INVITED to join our fun-loving choir family in its ongoing quest to approach the Savior in praise and to help lead this congregation to His throne of grace!

KingSing Kids

The KingSing & Cherub Choirs kicked off the Spring season on January 29, starting work on "Down By The Creekbank."  They meet each Sunday at 6:00 PM, in the Education Building Learning Center.

Our Cherub Choir meets at 6:00 PM, in the Education Building Learning Center, then goes to their room for music and activities.

Our KingSing Kids, made up of our Cherub Choir (4 year olds - K) and KingSing Children's Choir (1st through 5th grades), meet Sunday evenings during the school year, getting a good mix of music and Bible truths.
